Ishana Ratan

I am a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. I research the international political economy of renewable energy investment, and my dissertation project examines how renewable energy firm ownership shapes lobbying for the energy transition. I am also an Assistant Director at the Berkeley APEC Study Center and pre-doctoral fellow at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center (2022-2024). My work has been funded by the UC Institute for Global Conflict and Cooperation, the UC Berkeley Institute for International Studies, Network for a New Political Economy, and American Political Science Association.
