Hao Zhang

Hao Zhang is a PhD candidate in political science at MIT. His research interests include the politics of global production networks, state-business relations, and applied statistical models. His dissertation examines how the rise of global value chains reshapes trade coalitions and trade lobbying within and across national borders, with a regional focus on China and the US. A related stream of his research investigates the political foundations of China’s rise in global value chains.
